Excellent job explaining SI. I was avoiding that question because I didn't
know how to put it in words.
We have decided to inquire about private therapy for at least the summer
months. We did a sensory profile at school and it was very interesting.
Emily has many many areas of concern. I think now it's important to see a
therapist to find out exactly what input she needs to help versus what I
think and possibly over or under stimulate her. Interesting Stuff!!
Maybe this will help with some behavior problems we have been experiencing as
well. Although Ritalin once a day has really improved her agitation level.
Even with one dose a day she seems much clamer during tantrums and other
situations. School has reported improvement during morning groups as well.
I have also been really inclined to pursue neuropsych testing. I spoke with
my neighbor who is a neuropsych at Children's Hospital. He said we really
need to talk first and make sure it's for the right reasons. I really feel
like I would like a bigger picture of her abilities without behaviors or
attention deficits problems interferring. What other reasons have any of you
had this testing for??
