Let's brainstorm about places you can find respite! Anyone have any ideas?
Where do some of your kids get respite?
A thought... (by the way, sorry this is so late! I just finished the first
semester of my senior year in nursing school, and I've been SO busy)
Are there any colleges nearby? A lot of nursing or psychology students would
love to get experience with a special needs child; they may even be able to
get credit in classes for this. I've helped out some kids with chromosomal
disorders at the church I attend at school (I can't remember the name of the
disorder; it's not a trisomy, though), and I love the opportunity to help the
parents!
