Elanor qualifies for PCS (personal care services). Our targeted service
coordinator helped us jump through the appropriate hoops to get it. She
qualifies through her medicaid services, and we had to interview to get it.
They deemed that we qualify for 8-12 hours a week, since I don't work
outside the home and andrew is self-employed and his schedule is flexible.
If I had a "real" (haha) job, it would be more. Our niece lives with us and
provides the services, but they also have staff that would come to our home
if we wished. We can use it every day, or we can have a date night. The
company who provides services is a nursing company, and there are many here
to choose from in the phone book.
Hang in there Michelle!
