Hey Rebecca,
Mary is right on the money, Tea Tree Oil. The kind I
use isn't sold in stores, but from a special wholesale
company. It is more refined and pure. But Tea Tree Oil
is a natural antiseptic, gentle soother(takes the ouch
out), safely penetrates, helps jump start the healing
process and smells good. I used it Genevieve's odd
rash, she had bumps and water blisters that turned
into ezcema, doctors never saw nothing like it and was
going to give her a steroidal script, but I told him I
wouldn't use steroids on her ever again... and
honestly the oil works on everything...
Keep us posted on how Ruth does.... : )

Ruth has a skin condition that is looking terrible and
growing. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that there
was a raised ring around the birthmark (or scalp sore
that the literature talks about...?) at the base of
Ruth's skull. It took me a couple of days to realize
that it might be ringworm. Her physical therapist and
home nurse both agreed that it might be, so I took her
to the family practice Dr. He said, "yep...looks like
a fungus." So we have been putting miconazole on it.
Hasn't helped much. It has spread around her neck and
onto her tummy. I hate it! She had her "well-baby"
checkup this past week. Her doctor looked at it and
said, "no, that's not a fungus. I don't know what it
is." He gave us a prescription for steroid cream. I
haven't had a chance to fill it yet, so I've still
been using the miconazole. I want it to go away! Any
good remedies for skin funk out there?
