EEEEWWWWWWEEEEEEEE. I thought regular enemas were bad (which Alex hated)!

Alex received suppositories for the first 5 yrs of his life nearly daily.
Constipation remedies didn't work on him (there are more choices now esp for
pediatrics but there wasn't back then)---we tried all the suggestions at
that time (no Internet though to get the advice that flows so wonderfully
around here now).
A child that doesn't ever poop dies---even wondering is he'd ever be able to
have a bm on his own didn't keep us from using them in 1987 and on. Not much
in the way of choice. Also, I'd done some K-Y Jelly on a finger cot on my
small finger to lubricate and dig out the rock hard feces. Diet: he hardly
could suck a bottle.....forget hitting him with diet---that was a whole
other issue (taking an hour to get 1-2 ozs into Alex).

I hope nobody was eating while reading this post..........SORRY!
