[tri-med] Re: question about surgery

Soleah was in quite a bit of pain for almost a week and then barely any.  This
was better than what we were told.  She has a high pain tolerance.  They kept
her pretty sedated for two full days then up more and more each day
thereafter.  They had a strict routine post surgery which involved getting up
and walking.  She went home 6 days after surgery and took no pain meds at home
(no tylenol or anything) . . . She moved very guarded for another week at home
and then by the third week, it was like nothing happened.  So after two weeks,
she was doing really well.

Subject: [tri-med] question about surgery

For any of you whose child has had the scoliosis surgery, Nanci & Betty I know,
were they in much pain afterward?  I am just curious about the amount of pain
involved.
