talked to a ped. endocrinologist for us and he said although 8 yrs. was
early it wasn't too terribly soon. The main problem might be that Morgan's
growth would stop sooner. This might have something to do with the slight
increase in his scoliosis, too, if he has been going thru a growth spurt.

Alex was somewhere between 9-10 when we first saw the 'signs' of puberty
onset. He comes from hairy stock to begin with. :0)
I don't know how much puberty affects the closing of growth plates (when
growth stops)---ie: how soon after the onset of puberty is average for
growth to slow then stop or is there an average? That probably varies
individual to individual.
I know a lot of males tend to grow even into their early 20's. Alex is
hoping! But it's probably unrealistic ( I haven't really told him that, just
mentioned that he's prob done growing in a conversation about the above).
We had to discontinue the GHT (growth hormone therapy) when one of the
routine bone age studies (looking at growth plates) showed his were starting
to close.
