We have a Kid Kart for Caroline. However, when we are going somewhere for
just a bit, we hate to load and unload the wheelchair. So, I usually just
put her in a regular umbrella stroller. I know she isn't sitting correctly,
but when she is only going to be in it for a half hour or so, or less, I
don't mind.
I remember some of you talking about special need strollers. It seems like
a great idea, a bigger stroller, with a little more support, yet easier to
transport and load.
My questions are:
Is Caroline too small for a stroller? She is 3 and about 23 pounds, but she
is getting LONG! My limited research seems to show many strollers are for
older children with less severe disabilities. Caroline has great head
support and is sitting better every day.
Does insurance sometimes pay for a stroller? Even if you already have a
wheelchair? They seem pricey.
Any other cheaper options or suggestions?
Thanks in advance!!!
