[tri-med] Re: pedia sure

Leilani has been on pediasure for  almost 4 years now.  It started making
her sick only about a year and a half ago or so.  As a result, I started
asking the dieticians, GI docs, and pediatrician about alternative formulas
like KinderCal, Nutrimen, or Peptin and they all replied that Pediasure,
although is not the perfect diet, is the best one for Leilani.  The GI doc
also said that gagging can be a side effect of having a fundoplication
(Nissen) and g-tube.  She doesn't gag as much these days because we run the
pediasure in at a snail's pace (90cc/hr).  Leilani also gets RCF which is a
soy-based formula.  She can take that down via bolus by gravity with no
problems.

oh, I fforgot to ask also, out of everyone who's little one's are on pedia
sure,, has it made any of them sick? Like just nausious.even though he can't
taste it, it is like the flavoring of it hits his stomach and makes him gag.
The flavors that they gave me were chocolate and orange cream. Anyone have
any suggestions?
