Our little Elanor has a 30 degree scoliosis, and has to wear a brace,
too. She pretty much hates the thing! She is supposed to wear it for
23 hours a day, but we usually give her a few hour break in the
evenings. Otherwise she would be absolutely miserable all of the time!
The funny thing about her wearing it at night is that if she has it on,
it keeps her from "stimming" (she likes to roll on her tummy and rock
back and forth), and she goes to sleep almost immediately! When she
does have it off at night (like last night!), she stays up rocking until
the wee hours! So nighttime might not be too bad for you once Rebecca
gets used to it?!

Subject: [tri-med] ortho visit
We went to see the orthopaedic surgeon yesterday, Rebecca's kyposis is
at 46 degrees and her scoliosis is at 25 degrees, she will now need a
back brace to be worn while sleeping, hopefully she will tolerate this
ok.
