Today Morgan had his hearing test, it was just the hearing booth & such. It
went as expected, normal to slight hearing in left ear, normal in right,
although he did have some earwax that was causing flat tymps. Need to get that
cleared out. Anyway, I was talking with the audiologist (who has been seeing
him off and on since he was 1) and she told me that because of knowing Morgan
she never tells parents that hearing loss can't improve. She said she often
tells them it is unlikely to improve, but no longer rules it out all together.
I was soooooo happy to hear this. Hey, everybody, we did it again. We changed
a professional's mind. I mostly think of things like this as a collective
success for all the kiddos with trisomy all over the world, we did it all
together. Yeah!
