we had almost exactly the same thing happen with kam when she turned 5 and
lost ei funding for therapies. first thing i see is a huge bill from the
children's hospital. i made our insurance assign a case manager. this
helps in that you talk to the same person all the time while you are fixing
their errors.
make sure you get a copy of the dx codes and bills from the hospital. the
insurance company case manager was clueless on how to break stuff down and i
ended up figuring everything out. it was a 2 year nitemare. we ended up
quitting therapy at the children's hospital and are trying different
alternate therapies that i just have to pay for.
good luck, it will take a while to resolve itself but just stick to it and
make sure you are totally informed.
