Debbie,
The way the doctor explained it to us is that the jaw mussels are relaxed
because they are not being used for chewing food (Nejoud is G-tube fed).
Relaxed mussels is the cause of drooling....Nejoud drools when her hands are
out or inside her mouth. The only time she does not drool is when she is a
sleep or when she is sick!!! Go figure...I hope that the botox injections will
be the answer.....
Mohammed,

Claire drools because her hands are in her mouth. Keeping the hands out of
her mouth, she doesn't drool.
If kids are tube fed, they don't need as much saliva anyway?
Is the drool from a triers an overactive gland?
That would be something I hadn't heard of... but Claire isn't as old as some
(wow, I guess she is getting up there tho). I still think I'm 30 too.
heheheh!
Where's Jude?
Debbie, mom to Claire (T18 - 6 years old)
