I haven't told Alex as yet sweet - and I am sort of just letting things drop
into conversations at this stage but I would be very eager to hear about
what you learn!!!!

I went to a workshop on Monday (which was great). The workshop was aimed at
parents and teachers and they handed out workshop packages part of which
were some worksheets designed to be used with young students to help them
understand why a child in their class had a genetic disorder - you may find
some ideas in those. I will scan them or write them out and send you a copy.
(OK Laurie I know you will be interested too :-) just send me your new
address LOL)

If you want I can also ask the geneticist and genetic counsellor who ran the
work shop if there is anything that she can suggest - their whole brief is
genetic education.....

Also at this workshop they used a wonderful analogy for explaining
chromosomes and the genome project - very, very, very simple and
understandable!!! If you want to hear it let me know.

Traditions are the things we do during the bad times while we wait for the
good times to come again.
