Michelle, we have not told Richard of his trisomy, but we have told his
brother and sister, Michael was about 21/2 when Richard was born, so I am
sure Alex understands more then Michael did at that time. What we told him
was the Richard had a chromosome abnormality and explained basically what a
chromosome abnormality was. What was interesting is one time when Richard
was at a Drs. appointment somebody asked him about his brother and he gave
them the "spiel" about the chromosome abnormality, and he was only about 4
at the time.
