The microvasive button is a balloon tip - similar to the Mic-Key.
Does she have any granulation tissue? Granulation is red, proud flesh that
seems to "grow" out of the stoma.
Granulation tissue makes the stoma larger and allows leaking. If thats the
problem it can be treated a number of ways.
A 14 french is fairly small, so any granulation will make the stoma too
large.
Another thing to check is the amount of water in the balloon. You will need
to check the instruction book for the microvasive but the recommendation for
the Mic-Key is 3 to 10 mls. I usually put in 4 mls at each change and if its
leaking around the stoma I had another ml until it stops. It usually only
takes another ml or 2
