How DARE you try something out of the realm of "normal"!!!!!!!! NOT!!
It does flip the wigs of traditionalists with narrow thinking parameters
when you do that. :-)

Sigh. No it's not. I've cut calories drastically--it feels drastic anyhow.
I'm now a label reading madwoman.

I've been pretty good at keeping breakfast and lunch below 300 calories. I
am getting protein at each meal but really watching the fat content.
Dinner... not as good due to fixing for a family. I'm trying to be smart
with that though and am eating less. And I was a horrid evening snacker--so
that's now out. Did try hot air popped popcorn the other night--it was nice
to just munch something!

That week also included a dinner out (ordered what I wanted and didn't eat
it all) and a get-together at my parents with pizza. Had 2 slices and some
salad that she'd already put a homemade dressing on. So I COULD have lost
more if I'd been more stingent. But I want this to work with my lifestyle
and not being ridgid and allowing some "fun" foods will enable me to better
do this. Moving more will help too.

>your goal is to walk 10000 steps a day. it is to try to be more active.

I'm getting out now that the headaches are over and trying to "power walk"
once a day--that's walking fast and swinging those arms. I can only manage a
good 15 min or so but that will increase as the weight decreases and my
indurance improves.

You're an enginerd........figure out how to mount a puter to the treadmill
so you can access it while walking! ROFLOL Folks watch tv and do it, right?
Can see the headlines now....."Mom injured in bizarre treadmill accident
while trying to answer e-mails. Film at 11".
