[tri-med] jaundice, t-18 and rhesus disease

Just wanted to ask a medical question.

When I had my bloodwork done for my gamma-globulin shot in May I showed
signs of some antibodies. (my daughter was O+, and I'm O-) They re-did
the bloodwork and decided it was fine afterall and gave me the shot.
When Jeremiah was born several nurses asked me if he had mild rhesus
disease - all of whom knew about the t-18. He had jaundice that,
although not severe, refused to go away. He also had problems with his
hemaglobin levels and his umbilicus never fell off. I don't know enough
about rhesus or t-18 to know whether any of these things suggest that he
had rhesus disease or not, but I would really like to find out before we
make any decisions about future pregnancies, because although t-18 may
usually be a "fluke" rhesus isn't. I know that it can be watched and
treated, but I don't know that I could cope with another seriously high
risk pregnancy - it really worries me.

At any rate, I don't intend to make any decisions immediately one way or
the other, but I just wanted to get a bit more information and figured
you gals might be a good place to start.

Thanks
