That's great news. She was in the hospital for 4 days? Is that what you'd
anticipated?

Michigan's
>>Yes, that's pretty standard after a full hyster. Most people don't get to
come home that soon. She recovered really fast. they did her surgery on
Thursday afternoon. She went to the Operating Room at 1:35 p.m. and was in
her room at about 5:10 p.m.
She was pretty much out of it most of the day on Friday ... due to all the
anesthesia and a little morphine done post op. Saturday she was eating fairly
well and all bowels sounds were good. She did run a little temperature on
Thursday night and Friday morning. By Sunday morning she had been eating
solid foods....not much but was keeping everything she ate down, which is a
good thing as the med's they used to put her to sleep with caused some nausea
and she only two episodes of vomiting. But that is not unusual. By lunch time
Sunday we were on our way home.
It really helps to have good Doctor's and nurses. Kandice's doctor is a very
religious person and had prayer with us before her surgery, after and before
we left to come home. there were also a lot of prayer's going out from you
wonderful people on the list and other's that we know. Plus ... now get
this...Kandice sometimes talks to the angels. How do I know you might ask?
Well, her half brother Timmy passed away in 1995 and she never really knew
who he was. He was in a nursing home and did not get to come home for visits
very often. We rarely took her there because of all the germs that can be
floating around in those places. She never knew him as her brother because we
rarely took her around him. But, she knows him as an angel of God because she
talks to him and calls his name out loud. she usually does this whenever
something traumatic is going on in her little world. Makes ya get goose bumps
don't it?
So in closing I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and to ask
you to continue to prayer for her as she recovers here at home.
Love to you all and God Bless
