[tri-med] Re: horseback riding

I happy to hear about Morgan's progress. It gives me great hope. What is
working is that he has a great mom who is making it all possible. Thank GOD
for giving you the strength you need.

  Subject: [tri-med] horseback riding

Just thought I would give you a brief update on
Morgan's horseback riding. After riding once weekly
all summer last Thurs. night Morgan rode with no
support for the first time. His rider was on the
horse with him, but she was not supporting him. And
he picked up the reins. If only you all could have
seen him riding that horse!!! He looked like a regular
cowboy! Over the last couple of weeks he has started
sitting up without using his hands to prop, too. The
longest he sat like that was 15 mins. last weekend.
Finally, he feels like it is worth to sit up. And now
he can really play with toys on the floor.
With all the talk about chiropratic manipulations I
talked to Morgan's p.t. and she feels that he gets the
same amount of mobility adjustment from horseback
riding that he would get from chiropractic
manipulation. Anyhow, something is working for him,
whether it is the riding or the electrical stim.
  Probably a combination of both.
Also, Morgan is getting his tricycle. It was approved
and now we just have to wait a couple of wks. for the
money. Of course, by the time we get it it will be
too cold to use it here. Hopefully, they will use it
at school during the winter months.
