I think Tess feels the pain, but reacts differently. She may
experience it differently too. I've seen her laugh after banging her
foot on the rail on the change table, when she's been kicking her
legs vigorously. (We have since placed one of those pool noodles
(sliced down the middle) over the rail, to provide protection) The
day I observed this, she laughed ruefully (if you can imagine that)
then went pale and a little blue around her lips. I knew immediately
she must have hurt her heel, but it did not appear to bother her afterwards.
