[tri-med] hesitancy to treat

this brought back the horrible memories of the first time kam was in crisis.
respitory failure for rsv. they bagged her in the ambulance all the way to
the hospital and to a room. the resident (the dr on call would not even
come in to see her) just wanted me to hand him kammie's DNR.

they were not willing to do anything for her. while we were fighting (of
course i was hysterical and had snot running down my face) a respitory
therapist started working on her. we got her sats up a bit and they left me
with her on o2 for the nite.

the next morning the dr could not believe she was still around. the fire
ambulance guys were in shock that she was still alive. we checked out with
hospice again that day.

when kammie was about 18 months old and had her gi bleed we saw that dr and
respitory therapist and nurses again. all were amazed at how well she was
doing but the dr. he had absolutely no interest in her what so ever.
