[tri-med] Re: heart surgery - NANCI

Hi Pam:

(Thank you for flagging this message Karen)

My daughter Soleah had surgery in Houston, Texas. Faye Kaufman (Morgan's mom)
also mentioned the doctors here. She has a VSD patched, VSD stiched, PFO and
PDA stiched. She was 6 lbs. Two weeks follwing the surgery she had a
pacemaker placed and has has the pacemaker replaced when needed since. She
also has had other surgeries (tonsils, adnoids) as well as other invasive
procedures. She has no problem with any surgeries except coming off of the CNS
depressants. Soleah is almost 11 and walks, eats by mouth, signs about 10
"needs" Soleah is severely delayed but her quality of life is excellent. She
is very healthy and has been since about 18 months. Other than annual
specialty visits (cardiology, etc) she visits the doctor the same number of
times as my other children. She has not been to the pedicatrician once this
year (2004) Soleah is a joy and is loved by everyone around her. I do not
feel she is a burden in any way. Please email me privately and I will call
 you
right away if you'd like to talk more. I'm praying for you and the doctors
there! God Bless You!
