[tri-med] Re: granulation tissue

I was instructed to do aggressive cleaning twice daily. I use betadine,
hydrogen peroxide, and bacitracin ointment then cover it with a gauze. I
sometimes use calmoseptine on it, too.

kam has fat rolls too but wears a 1.7 cm, 14 french. the cm is how long the
button is from the back to the balloon i think. the french is the diameter
of the tube you use (or the hole). so the french is not the key it is the
length of the stoma. do you dress it out every day? i know we dont have to
but i put gauze around kams and clean it in the evening with a qtip and
peroxide/water mix. she gets the yellow stuff sometimes but i am lucky we
have not had granulation issues. so i cant help with that. the dr should
have used a stoma measuring device to see if he needs a 3 or 3.5 cm.
