Thanks for all the suggestions and ideas for taking care of the granulation
tissue around Morgan's g-tube. I took him to the surgeon's office today and he
told me he was quite perplexed. He said it is not normal for that type of
tissue to keep forming so long after the button has been placed. He took a
culture, thinking that possibly there is some type of infection that prevents
it from healing. Then the nurse used the silver nitrate sticks. OUCH! I hate
that stuff! The dr. did tell me he had a couple of other ideas of what he
might try if the culture comes back negative, but he didn't want to talk about
that until we see what the culture shows.
