Well, we had our annual genetics visit yesterday. It
was the quickest visit ever. They didn't really have
anything new to add, just answered a couple of
questions we had. The geneticist said he really
didn't need to see Morgan back for 2 yrs., but the
counselor/nurse said, "You can bring him back next
year if you want to. We love to see him!" A couple
of amusing things happened there. First, when we went
into the examining room all of a sudden I could smell
something very stinky. I said, I think I need to
change his diaper. And it really stunk up the whole
room. So, the dr. asking us questions and then he
says, does Morgan still have problems with
constipation? Then he laughed and said, I guess not,
as the room started to stink very strongly again and
we had to change the diaper again. Then when the dr.
wanted to look in his mouth Morgan just gave him the
raspberry and so the dr. said, okay I'll look at your
eyes, and Morgan covered his eyes with his hands. As
the dr. was leaving the room he just laughed and said,
I can tell this guy is a real character. You must
have lots of fun with him. I just had to think to
myself, yeah, sometimes that character can be real
stubborn and frustrating. The counselor told me that
that stubborness is a good sign in many ways because
it shows his unique personality and it shows a certain
level of awareness. It also serves as a reminder to
my hubby that even though Morgan is the spittin' image
of him, his personality is all mommy's. (At least,
that's what Mike says.) LOL
