the letters I sent out to get funding for the conference and she asked

you the truth every little bit helps and next year they will all get a

from what I gather from the list it is different ( where to apply for
funding) here in Canada. First I applied to Easter seals as they are the
major donor for things that are not covered by the government programs (
which basically only cover w/c's and walkers and standers) our insurance
companies usually only cover things that are covered by government
programs, and the government programs only cover a certain amount, so
the insurance picks up the rest, the insurance would not cover the stair
climber or the bath seat, seems its not necessary to get to the second
story of your house :0(  after Easter seals ( who gave us 3000.00) we
applied to 2 children's charities one who gave us 300.00 and one we are
waiting to hear from. We also applied to my husbands union who gave us
900.00. we are waiting to hear from 2 rotary clubs who apparently both
want to help us. We have also applied to a Kiwanis club because my
friends father is a member, asked her to put in a good word for us :0)
they don't usually support families but it was worth a try , re asking
family, they all know of our needs,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I did call my godmother
looking for leads with her club, the northern star ( women's equal of
the masons) and she said they don't give to families, my mom tells me
that my godmother is thinking of giving us some money, not sure how I
feel about it, she is in her late 80's and on her own, but on the other
hand if she wants to give us something I don't want to insult her, guess
I will have to wait and see and deal with it when it happens...
