[tri-med] Re: frazzled ramblings

Rachel's daytime bolus feeds are given through the pump as well. She gets 3oz 
at 190/hr every 4 hours plus 20cc water to flush...takes about 40 minutes per 
feed. She had never like gravity feeds...too fast I think.

Cant answer that but from working in a hospital and floating to other
floors. I have seen patients not tolerate bolus feeds and be very mucousy.
Sometimes feeds being given on a pump as apposed to gravity or "pushing" are
better tolerated. Rebecca has been on a pump since she was 15 months old.
You can control the rate much better that way
