Wanted to change this to tri-family, but not sure you'd get it? Like others
I'm full of admiration for your guts at living this alternative lifestyle.
(Especially with a special needs child). At age nine I lived in Scotland
in a small village where there was no electricity. We had oil lamps, Mum
cooked on an open fire with an oven at the side. Washing was by hand,
boiled up in a copper with wood fire underneath. I had to help Mum some
times to put the clothes through the mangle, which had these huge wooden
rollers. We had an outside toilet. But then we had an outside toilet when
we first came to Australia in 1957. The dunny man used to come and collect
the "full can", and leave a new one. I got caught many times, but he'd just
sing out "you take your time love", and stand outside the door sucking on
his cigarette. Oh happy days (NOT). Love to hear more about how you manage,
but perhaps on Tri-family list, as we're supposed to stick to medical
topics on this list.
