[tri-med] Re: eye crossing

Elanor had strabismus too, and after unsuccessful patching we had the
surgery done. It was a pretty easy outpatient procedure, and she came
through it just fine. Her eyes are normal now, but sometimes when she is
tired her eyes cross a little bit. It's actually a pretty common thing in
babies and toddlers. Many babies actually grow out of it as they develop,
Arwen did. They also use glasses, and if patching isn't an option (some
kids cannot/will not tolerate it!), they now have drops to help treat
strabismus. An ophthalmologist can take you through the course of
treatments. We go to a dr. who specializes in this sort of thing, and she
is fantastic. Hope you can get to the bottom of it and get some help!

Subject: [tri-med] eye crossing

I need some help. I noticed Aleah about a month ago would cross one eye
everyonce inawhile and then she would stop doing it on her own. Within the
last week she does it daily, and at differant times. Ive noticed that one
eye will cross in toward her nose and she doesnt usually act like its a big
deal. Travis has been telling her on occassion to not do that with her eyes
( I think he thinks she controls it). Then today when she didnt know I was
watching her right eye began crossing inward, when that happen she started
winking and holding it closed.
I am scared.... I dont have a clue what is cossing it and I know in my gut
its not something she can control... any ideas????
