[tri-med] Re: digestion problem

Maya,

Philina has always had a lot of gas related 
problems.  Gastro doctor thought it was related
to the shape of her palate causing her to swallow
more air when she was bottle fed.  He said she 
probably swallowed a whole lot of air when she 
cried too.  When we weaned her off the bottle 
it was to a straw, and then she was getting air 
with it.  At 19 when she got her g-tube and 
still had severe gas the doctors blamed the high
fiber content in the formula they had her on, and
switched her to KinderCal TF.  May have helped a
bit, but she was still pretty gassy.  And still is 
even now that she's back to eating orally most of 
her intake again.
