also especially in babies they don't need water as by giving them water
you decease the amount of calories they are getting as the water is
replacing formula ( infants have small stomachs and can only hold so
much)  when Rebecca was young the water was only used to flush her
g-tube, now that she is older and bigger its for volume and she does get
quite a bit,  probably 600 mls ( 2-2/2 cups) at night as with out she
would be dehydrated and if all her fluids were formula she would get way
to FAT!
