[tri-med] constipation

Chris,
>Does Sierra have a pediatric gastroenterologist?

I have been on the ped doc about this for some time and she always said I still
think it is the low tone. I finally (this week) got her talked into it. The
problem is we don't have anyone here we can go see......out of state trip. We
have no one to watch our kids so this is a very costly proposition for us, with
meals/room/etc. We will get her there, it just is going to take us some time.
If none of us had to worry about money, think of all of the doors it would
open.

>Now she is on 3 senna tablets

What is senna? Is it OTC? I am glad that you found something that works! It
is always a struggle to not make yourself worse off than you were before
(suppositories, etc.)

>with the poor muscle tone you just have to try to get consistency almost like
>toothpaste to make movement easier to pass

Sierra's is not like toothpaste for sure. It is as hard as a rock (I thought
the enulose was a stool softener) and no kidding are about 2 inches around.
It's no surprise to me that she screams - the poor kid is in pain. That is why
I think something else is going on. It just doesn't seem right (low tone and
all) to have something like that. It reminds me of when someone is impacted (I
used to be a CNA) and it was like the pipe was clogged and it would just keep
building up.

>Good wishes for lots of poo!

Thank you for the good wishes!

Nicole mom to Alyssa 4 (going on 21, keeping me busy, and keeping my hair from
getting to long because I'm pulling it out), Sierra 2 1/2 (partial trisomy 18
q, my brightest ray of sunshine on a gloomy day), Kobey 1 (true mama's boy
through and through, climbing, pinching, and loving), and Joe my wonderful
husband of 8 yrs. (without his support I would be in the funny farm by now!)
