Oldies will remember that we worried about Alex going through precocious
puberty. One endocrinologist I spoke to said that hair was relative. What I
was concerned about as Alex being "hairy" in the wrong places too early
would be considered no hair by someone from say a middle eastern background.
So how much is too much?

The endo's advice to me was to look for the Tanner signs of puberty - not
just one but two or more. So hair alone was no cause for concern unless
there were other signs.

As it was Alex got "hairy" about 8 or 9 then he stopped and didnt get any
hairier until about 12 months ago which is pretty much on cue. The
testosterone is definitely kicking in now - anyone want him? :-)))))

Many of our kids are "hairier" than average - but its not puberty. From what
we know precocious puberty does happen in T-18 but not all that often.

Life consists not in holding good cards but in playing those you hold well.
