Michelle you were pumping right??  it was probably just that you were
pumping and not able to develop a relationship with the pump, its the
hormone thing again, when the baby nurses a hormone is released in the brain
causing a  letdown reflex which causes the milk to be released, ( ie why you
leak if you hear a baby cry, even if its not your own)  unfortunately it is
hard for some women to experience letdown when they are only pumping and  as
my dr explained it to me giving me "permission" to stop pumping " you can't
develop an emotional relationship with a breast pump"  I was a looser at
pumping too, but had no problem nursing Mark for 9 mo, (5mo before any other
food was introduced)
