[tri-med] Re: colostrum

I pumped in the hospital and at home and fed Soleah by whatever means I
could get to her take it. She was first tube fed (ng tube) then ate through
a Haberman feeder which is a feeder they use for cleft palate kiddos. Its a
type of bottle you can actually squeeze and help them get more milk without
them doing too much work. Her heart was in bad shape so she could not eat
by mouth for her first 3-4 months. Then it took several months but she
became a terrific eater which remains true today. She can suck down a
Pediasure through a straw (one breath) in 10 seconds . . .
Nanci, Mom to Alicia (18 and in college now!), Shani (12 and my BIG
helper ), Soleah (Trisomy 18 m and almost 8!), Corey (the new baby in the
house--born 9/5/01) and Wife to Mike, my kind and loving husband!

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it.
