kammie goes ot a special ed only school. she did this for 4yr old preschool
and this year in kindergarten. she will NOT be going there next year. i
thot she would get better therapy services there but this is not the case.
it is exactly how you describe it as babysitting. that is not what i want
for kam but it might be what some other parents are looking for. she needs
to be around typical peers. the more the better. i am already starting my
summer program search to find someone where she can be around some regular
kiddos a couple of days a week. last summer after contacting over 50 places
i was not successful.
i recently posted to the listserv about conductive education to see if
anyone had heard of it as i have a friend in sweden with a 4 yr old full t18
girl doing it. if you have access i would check it out. it sounds like it
is used most often with cp kiddos. very intensive 5 hours a day for 5 weeks
or something. this kind of intense repitition is how kammie learns best.
the closest program to here is in california so i am not able to get kam in
it for now. let me know what you think as i might check it out for summer
if i could find a place to stay with kam and such.
