oops thats not clear - I was getting 2 to 3 severe migraines a week. I was
taking up to 6 panadeine forte a day or a daily dose of 300mg of codeine
phosphate. Not sure how that equates to the hydrocodone in Vicodin. Its not
a straight conversion - Tracey or one of the other nurses may have a
conversion chart.
I am not sure how that translates as far as Vicodin is concerned, I think
hydrocodone sounds different to codeine anyhow. Panadeine Forte is a
prescription only drug so someone had to be prescribing it Karen how dare
the nurses call you a drug addict. We have a lot of women on Panadeine
Forte (it is the strong analgesic of choice in pregnancy) however for
ongoing problems we try to find other solutions. We had a woman a few years
back that had terrible pain from hydronephrosis (due to congenital renal
problems) she was coming in regularly for Pethidine shots so we had to refer
her to the nearest tertiary centre that had a pain management team. That
would have been a better solution to your pain problems than calling you a
drug addict!!!
