and sneezing was better by the time I talked to him. It was the vomiting
blood that was the problem. So, next time, I will try the Benedryl as soon
as the cold starts in full force and maybe we can prevent the
vomiting/bleeding/more vomiting vicious cycle.
 The dr said we are not ready to consider re-doing the Nissen. He is
conservative and recommends trying the Benedryl with colds first. I guess,
after seeing her on Monday morning covered in dried blood, I may have
overreacted. However, I am sure most parents would be a little freaked as
well. It probably was the most awful thing I ever saw. It is just scary that
every time she gets a cold, she vomits so much she bleeds. She hasn't had
bleeding since BEFORE she had the Nissen at 6 mo old. He wouldn't recommend
re-doing the Nissen unless she is vomiting all the time, not just when she
is sick. However, she was SO SO bad and vomiting so much, I was almost ready
to hospitalize her so we could at least get an IV in her and hydrate her and
maybe stop the vicious cycle of vomiting.
 She is doing better. No throwing up, just lots of phlegm and mucous.
Yesterday, she woke at about 8:30, fell back asleep in about 15 minutes and
didn't get up until 3p.m.!!!! I wondered whether to wake her, but I figured
the vomiting had really worn her out and she needed to recoup. She was
actually back asleep by 7:30 that night and slept until 8:30 this morning.
Big snoozer!
 I guess we are on the mend.....until the next time.....
