[tri-med] Re: another round with the doctor... UPDATE

We called the surgeons office this morning about Hannah's throwing up. The
doctor was in surgery so they were going to have him call when he got out
(He didn't leave notes like he said he would.) Meanwhile Hannah threw up
again 2-3 times this morning. Around noon she did it again and this was a
bad one, coming out mouth and nose and really panicking her. Donn called
the office again to update them and they said to bring her right in. We
did, and they ended up sending us over to Children's Hospital (across a
skybridge) for a chest x-ray (to check her lungs) and an upper GI series.
Then we headed back over to the doctor's office. He said everything looks
ok as far as the fundoplication so we are now gravity feeding her by
syringe (instead of the pump) during the day and using the pump at night at
a slower rate. If day feeds are taking too long (right now 6 ounces is
being given in a one hour period) then we can add it to the night feed.
We thought it was pretty funny that Hannah was fussing and fussing when
they were doing pushing the barium into her (via syringe)... I was at her
head holding her arms up out of the way. About the time they started the
second syringe she started to calm down and by the time they finished it
she was asleep!!! The whole thing took about 5 minutes. :)
