[tri-med] Re: alternate treatments

Mornin' Ladies,

Yep, and Philina's treatments were no where near professional
quality, but they did the intended job anyway. I liked what
the conference workshop presenter who did Kammie's said about
that: "Intent is even more important then technique!" I think
that's probably true, but don't expect most Reiki masters to
readily agree.

>she uses a prism over our chakras (sp?)

Spelling is perfect. Chakras are an interesting concept.
The 7 energy points are divided up coinciding with the 12
zodiac signs. 5 represent 2 each, and the other 2 1 each.

The Muladhara Chakra-Aries and Scorpio-base of the spine.

The Swadhishthana Chakra-Leo and Sagittarius-genital area,
the kidneys and the lower intestinal area and gives one
control over watery organs.

The Manipura Chakra-Virgo and Libra-is located at the solar
plexus. (Contemplation on this chakra is said to free one from
trepidation and disease...so let's all contemplate our navels
now...LOL)

The Anahata Chakra-Aquarius and Cancer-is situated near the
heart.

The Vishuddha Chakra-Taurus and Capricorn-is present at the throat.

The Ajnya Chakra-Pisces-is located between the eyebrows and is
called the third eye.

The Sahasrara Chakra-Gemini-is the topmost chakra present at the
cerebrum. It is directly linked to the pineal gland of the human
body. In newborn babies, it's the soft spot on the scalp.

Reiki divides up the energy by right and left hand. Right for
positive, left for negative (and it doesn't matter whether you're
right handed or not).

I have a rather off the wall theory about that I carry over into
astrology polarity, which I'd really love to test out better, but
probably never will. I once met someone who when I shook his hand,
he said he felt tingles, and I knew I felt an overall sudden release
of built up tension. This just happened to coincide with the time
period that Philina was in the hospital, and I had been giving her
"healing" sessions, so hand energy was something I was already
thinking seriously about. So he humored me and gave me his birth
data, and I ran his chart. What was especially interesting was
we have opposite rising signs (said to be our higher/inner selves).
And they weren't just opposite signs on the axis, they were within
3 degrees of exactly opposite, making them a very strong energy.
Taking that knowledge and then applying it to a yoga chakra chart it
looks to me like the zodiac signs of Aries-Virgo are negative pole
and Libra-Pisces are positive pole signs. For whatever that's worth.
I have an excellent idea where applying that info could be very
useful, but as I say, I'm not rushing out to investigate it. Hubby's
not only another positive charge, we're both Sag rising 1 degree, 1
minute from exact. You know what they say...opposites poles attract,
but same poles repulse....oy vey.
