Not to burst anyone's bubble, but if they were able to get rid of the xtra 
chromosome or the part of it, then the child would be a completely different 
child cause it is those cells that make up who our children are.  This means 
that the child would have to be regenerated and I guess I shouldn't say 
never, but youzers that would be some scientific madness!!  But I can 
sympathize with your wish  : )
