We were able to get a second test done due to the fact that Brianna's
cognitive level was higher than expected for the "textbook" Trisomy 9 child.
Also The doctor held a black light over her skin and there were also signs of
mosaicism by the findings from the light. You might have Faren's skin looked
at under a black light?
Also, wanted to add that we were told a skin biopsy in just one place may not
record accurate results, since in one the chromosomes might be 'normal' in
some area's because the body recognized them as abnormal and kicked their
butts outta there!.
Brianna had reconstructive ear surgery and I requested a biopsy then. But I
didn't at that time that since her ears were abnormal, that there was for
sure extra chromosome in them thar ears!
