Debbie, No, not as long as Mom's energy holds up... Bolus feeds are always an option, as long as the tube is in and not blocked. And I keep new g-tube sets around at all times for emergencies...one in my car trunk, one in her room, and even one in the side pocket of her suitcase currently. Even if you don't have REAL bolus sets, you can always use a bag and tubing meant for a pump fed, and just gravity it in by hand... btdt too in a pinch. But the tubing is narrower, so it's a lot slower process. Kind of reminds me of "the good old days"...NOT, when feeding her with a bottle was an all day, every day, effort. And even if you don't have a bag, but you've got the tubing, the cap on it will screw onto a standard baby bottle.
