The jury is still out on that one! lol Actually it feels as if I've been
able to let a secret go and there's some relief with that.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm........just some different thoughts and some worry about how
knowing will affect Alex.

He says he does. We explained it and while he did understand he was still
furious at the time. The anger is gone now and just a little bit of ticked
is left.

I have to say, sitting down and doing this really made me think about people
who have to sit down and tell their child they have a terminal illness or
something similar. Wow.
Funny how at this point I don't consider Alex/trisomy 14 in the same vein.

He seems to have accepted it well at this point. We have REALLY stressed
that knowing this info doesn't change who he is and I think he sees that. I
am still keeping those lines of communication open though. But like usual,
Alex has very few questions.

We had our Michigan Mini Conference yesterday and last night I asked Alex
how he felt about meeting other triers (albeit different flavors). Before we
met he was nervous and after he said he felt lucky to be able to eat food
via mouth! lol Alex recognized that he's not had the PT, surgeries etc that
Emily and Keren have.

I think that seeing other triers made his situation seem not so isolating or
lonely. Time will tell.
