[tri-med] VitalStim update and car seat question

I have been really bummed lately. Overwhelmed. Too many things to get =
done
and too little time. My step daughter arrived tonight for the weekend =
and
there are at least a dozen things that I need to have done before she =
gets
here and most are major projects. (So what am I doing on the computer,
right?)

We had been trying to get VitalStim therapy for her speech to maybe get =
her
to protect her airway. We got the ok from the insuraance company, just
needed to get a certified thrapist through a therapy center that =
accepted
our insurance. Well, when it rains it pours! All of the sudden we had =
two
therapists at two centers! Our therapist of choice was at the old =
therapy
center that we just moved Hannah's PT and OT from. She could do it =
through
them but they really wanted us to come back for PT and OT too. The new
center also has someone lined up. We haven't met her but she comes =
through
Hannah's PT's high recommendation of someone her knows. Going with her =
will
allows us to have all therapies in the same block. Since the ultimate =
goal
is Vital Stim for Hannah and all in one place we are going with the new
facility. Besides, goinf back to the old place sort of defetes the =
purpose
of the move, which was to keep Hannah with her original PT who had moved
there.=20

So yesterday I officially cancelled speech at the old place and Hannah =
will
have a week or so "vacation" until the new therapist gets her pediatric
electrodes and we get set up.=20

One glitch: I JUST got a call (while typing this!) from the new therapy
center. They have a script for one session of Pt and one of OT a week. =
Well,
for the last year + Hannah has been getting PT and speech twice a week. =
She
had also been getting OT twice a week until the therapy center lost =
their OT
on Friday afternoons. So now I have a call in to Hannah's physitrist to =
try
and straighten it out. Oh... And the new place doesn't even have a =
script
for the speech part yet!=20

Now... Question... We bought a van last weekend. Hannah doesn't fint in =
her
car seat anymore with it facing backwards. She is just too long! She
doesn't have the head/neck control to face forward yet. Her PT and OT =
have
both suggested Special Tomato car seats but the insurance won't cover it =
and
we can't afford an $800 car seat! Any suggestions???
