I had another parent of a trier contact me regarding beds! I told him about
the Vail bed you have for Devon. He said he googled it and found that it was
not safe. Do you know how I can assure him that it is? Did you ever hear how/if
it can be unsafe? Maybe his baby is just too young for it? I'm not really
sure. But I was sure you checked out bed options! =)
Thanks so much,

LAURIE:
We used the Vail Bed for my daughter until about 2 years ago. The Federal
Marshalls recalled all the beds becasue the company was not providing/following
proper saftey guidelines. The beds can still be used with some new saftey
guidelines. They named several but the 2 that affected us were that the child
should be over 50 lbs. and not exhibit burrowing behavior...both of which Emily
was not 50 lbs. yet and did exhinit burrowing behaviors. They said the recall
came from reports of 9 children sufficating. We took the bed down and put in
our garage.
