Dom was identified as orthopedically impaired. He did not start in our school
district since we did not have a preschool class. When it was time for him to
transition into our district, the moron spedhead assumed that he was going to
stay in the other district's SH classes since we didn't have any. But they
told him he was ready to go the programs we had, so he did. He started out in a
class for kids with language disorders and it was a good placement. He had a
teacher that believed in him 100% and taught him as you would a child with
learning disabilities. We managed to keep that on his IEP until he transitioned
out of high school. One time, moron spedhead wanted to change to MR. I just
looked at him and asked, "Why would you want to do that. You get more money for
him as OI and no one else thinks he is MR except you." Never brought it up
again. Funny how so many more of you are fighting the sped wars. It shows that
our
kids really are doing a lot better than anyone expected even five years ago,
but I am really glad that I am done with them. Adult issues are not a walk in
the park, but so far no one has been as mean as some of the speddies I have
crossed paths with.
