Would you believe they did not do a biopsy for the Ectodermal Dysplasias dx?
The doctor just looked her over, head to toe, and made this dx. She says she
has seen many children with this condition and they really is nothing we can
do about it other than prevent her from overheating. She did not want to put
her through a biopsy. She says if it gets worse, then we will. She also
mentioned that most patients get better with age with the sweating issues.
Brianna has started puberty. Her school nurse mentioned last May (5th grade)
that she would probably start her period in a few months...nothing yet, but
the "signs" are there.
Brianna has never had any blood work done other that chromosome tests. I
guess it's time to find out more!
