What is the name of the disorder? That would go a long way to finding
information. Might even be some specific support groups for it.

If it's an osteoporosis/bone fragility issue I'd think maybe a gerontologist
might be someplace to go. Yes, it's generally a specialist for the elderly
but they are experts on the bone/osteoporosis issues. I'd give that a try.
Also, orthopedics might be an avenue since they deal with issues of the
bone.
